Parenting time cases are the most emotionally challenging cases we face as family law attorneys. In every case there is only a certain amount of time that each parent can spend with the child. The child simply cannot be in two places at the same time. While each parent may desire to spend 100% of the time with the child (or in the worst situations, deprive the other parent of as much time as possible) this is impossible.

As with child custody, the Court will evaluate and determine parenting time based on the best interests of the child. (Please see our Child Custody page for a detailed discussion of this standard.)
